THE INTERNET TURNS KILLER AS CSI: CYBER COMES TO CBS JUSTICE
Posted on Sunday 22nd Sep 2019

CSI: Cyber (or if you want to give it its full title Crime Scene Investigation: Cyber) stars Academy Award, Emmy Award, and Golden Globe Award winner Patricia Arquette in a drama inspired by the advanced technological work of real-life Cyberpsychologist Mary Aiken.

Special Agent Avery Ryan (Arquette) heads the Cyber Crime Division of the FBI, a unit at the forefront of solving illegal activities that start in the mind, live online, and play out in the real world. She knows firsthand how today’s technology allows people to hide in the shadows of the Internet and commit serious crimes of global proportion. Working with Ryan is the new Director of Next Generation Forensics, D.B. Russell (Ted Danson), a civilian specialist who has transferred from Las Vegas to combine his vast knowledge of traditional forensics with cutting-edge advancements to help hunt down the most dangerous cyber criminals.

Also on the team are FBI Agent Elijah Mundo (James Van Der Beek), a forensic expert who is ex-military, a self-proclaimed action junkie and Avery’s confidant; Daniel Krumitz (Charley Koontz), an introverted tech genius with a quick wit; Brody Nelson (Shad Moss), a former black hat hacker who chose to work for the FBI over a life of cyber-crime; and Raven Ramirez (Hayley Kiyoko), a tech who is an expert in social media, cyber trends and international relations. While other agents search for criminals in dark homes and alleys, Ryan and her team search the “dark net,” a place deep in the bowels of the Web where criminals are anonymous, money is untraceable and where everything is for sale with just a keystroke.

CSI: Cyber starts 7th October on CBS Justice.
